Chair’s Message:
Dear Friends and Members,
Welcome 2012. I hope yours is happy and produces just what you’ve hoped and planned for. December’s program received very good reviews. I know I enjoyed the presentation by Christian and Mike. I apologize if anyone could not get reservations for the meeting. Turns out we had a bit of a “perfect storm”. December’s meetings are usually not well attended, but we had a popular topic and the facility had no other meeting rooms available on short notice. I know I learned a lesson…register early! I was not able to bring planned guests. I sent in their names as early as the day before registration cut-off… and we were already oversold!!! Lesson learned; register as early as you can. This month I’m told we are holding registration open until C.O.B. Friday. I haven’t had much response to my call for younger members to help out with a special project, that’s a shame. It’s time to think about officers for next year; we will need a couple of new officers because their terms are expiring. They will not be able to serve another year without a break between, so please consider helping out. If you like what we’ve been doing, consider being a part of it and volunteering. Soon I will make the call for nominations. |
